The University of Ottawa is the first stop on the 20th anniversary tour of the Ontario/Rhône-Alpes Student Exchange Program (ORA). The event brings together delegates from all 12 Rhône-Alpes universities and grandes écoles, as well as the ORA program director, and University of Ottawa senior administrators, international liaison officers and student mobility staff. His Excellency Philippe Zeller, Ambassador of France to Canada, will host the delegation at the French Embassy on Monday evening.

As a result of this exchange program, students from both Ontario and Rhône-Alpes have access to world-class teaching and research facilities, and classrooms and laboratories are enriched by the visiting students. Since 2002, the University of Ottawa has sent 51 students to France under the ORA program and has hosted 73 French students in return.

The ORA is one of the programs run by Ontario Universities International (OUI), a consortium of universities across the province participating in exchange programs under the leadership of the Ontario Council of Academic Vice-Presidents. Partnering with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities enables OUI to provide scholarship and bursary support to every eligible Ontario participant in its programs.

For more information on the ORA program or other region-to-region academic partnerships, please contact the International Office or Ontario Universities International.
