uoCal, the University’s new central calendar of events organized by both the administration and students, is proving to be an invaluable tool for students to find out about events happening all over campus, receiving over 33,000 unique visits during welcome week alone.

Attending events on campus is also made easier with uoCal’s features such as Add to Calendar and integrated Google and Campus Maps to help students locate where an event is being held. For students like Malika Asthana, the new tool has greatly enhanced her experience on campus.

“This online calendar was especially useful for me during Welcome Week as I was able to use the different event types on the calendar to track all university events that were happening during the first week of classes,” says Asthana, a third year International Studies and Modern Languages student at uOttawa. “I would definitely recommend that all students at the University of Ottawa make use of this excellent tool.”

With the ability to search for student-managed events, built-in social media sharing capability, and an ever-expanding list of groups and organizations on campus now able to populate the calendar with a variety of events, uoCal is now a one-stop shop for students and all members of the uOttawa community to discover what’s happening on campus.

If it’s happening at uOttawa, you can find it on uoCal!
