President and Vice-Chancellor Allan Rock is pleased to announce the University of Ottawa’s United Way Campaign co-chairs for 2011. Jeff Keshen, Professor of History in the Faculty of Arts, will be the faculty representative and Nancy Lalonde-Zaidi, Director, Organizational Development Service, Human Resources, will serve as the administrative personnel representative. The two will lead this year’s campaign which will officially run from October 24th to November 25th 2011.
The University of Ottawa’s campaign is annually ranked among the top four in the Ottawa region. Last year, the University managed to raise over $500,000 in total, with $78,000 in contributions made to the Student Aid Fund, matched dollar for dollar by the provincial government.
All faculties and services are encouraged to lend their support to Jeff and Nancy. You can choose to designate a portion of your gift to the Student Aid Fund. Help us continue to find innovative ways to raise even more funds this year in order to really make change happen.
Additional information on this year’s campaign will be communicated to you in the coming weeks and will be posted at www.unitedway.uOttawa.ca.
