Recipients of the Hourra awards
Senior managers and Student Services directors were not afraid to get wet for a good cause! During a BBQ dinner following the presentation of the Hourra awards, a group of valiant managers volunteered to be targets on a dunk tank to raise funds for United Way.
As a result, a total of $299 was raised and will go towards the Student Aid Fund as part of the 2012 United Way Campaign. One after another, employees kept lining up to get a shot at choice targets. Several Student Services directors whom employees were highly motivated to knock into the dunk tank included Marc Duval (director, Community Life), Patrick Genest (manager, Food Services, Conventions and Reservations, uOttawa card), Patrick Foré (director, Procurement Services), Luc Gélineau (director, Sports Services), Michel Guilbeault (director, Housing Service) and Chantal St-Onge (director, Administrative Service). Even Lucie Mercier-Gauthier (associate vice-president, Student Services) and Denis Cossette (vice-president, Resources) joined in on the fun!
