Do you cross the Somerset pedestrian footbridge to get to the University of Ottawa? If so, you must have noticed that the bridge is covered top to bottom with hundreds of padlocks. Eager to mark their amour for all time, lovebirds write a short message on a lock that they hang from the bridge’s metal railing… until their love becomes too heavy for the bridge to bear.
